Contemporary Yoga with Karla Brodie
Karla is an experienced and qualified yoga teacher and movement educator. She is passionate about sharing the art and science of yoga practice relevant and responsive to daily life. Contemporary yoga guides a student into a process of self observation, reflection, inquirey and self knowing. Karla’s approach to yoga is kind and nourishing. Within each class there are elements of breath awareness, mindfulness, balance, agility, strength and rest.
Restorative Yoga is a powerful practice to deeply rest and restore the mind and body. Classical yoga postures are practiced completely supported by blankets and bolsters. This practice is a positive antidote to high levels of stress and fatigue. Karla has taught restorative yoga for 17 years throughout Auckland, she co-faciliates restorative yoga retreats and teacher trainings. She is one of New Zealands most experienced teachers of this very nourishing approach to yoga practice.
