Enhance breath awareness, circulation, posture, mobility, flexibility and strength through consistent practice of Yoga with experienced teacher Karla Brodie. Join a course or class at the Contemporary Yoga Centre in Remuera Village, 351 Remuera Road. Class size is limited to 16 students to optimise individualised attention.

TUE

6-7.15pm

5 week course commences May 2nd. $105. This course is suited to participants of all levels with an emphasis on restorative practices.

7.30-8.45pm

Term 2, 10 week course begins 3rd of May, $210. Early bookings recommended.

WED

9.30 – 10.45am

All levels. Ongoing weekly class, $105 five class concession, $25 casual. Please note all concessions have a four month expiry from date of purchase. Bookings recomended for your first class.

Gentle yoga

Friday night Restorative Yoga is back! We will run bi-monthly classes throughout 2017 with part of the proceeds going towards Himalayan region children in Nepal and other local NZ community initiatives. 2017 dates, 24th of March. 5th and 26th of May. 9th and 23rd of June. 28th of July. 11th and 25th of August. 8th and 22nd of September. October 20th. November 10th and 24th. December 8th. Classes will be lead by Sandra or Karla Bookings essential and recommended, $25, organic teas provided.

Sat/Sun

Our next 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training commences April this year, and again in August. We are also offering indepth restorative yoga teacher training and other comprehensive ongoing profesional development modules for yoga teachers. Contemporary Yoga with Karla Brodie

Karla is an experienced and qualified yoga teacher and movement educator. She is passionate about sharing the art and science of yoga practice relevant and responsive to daily life. Contemporary yoga guides a student into a process of self observation, reflection, inquirey and self knowing. Karla’s approach to yoga is kind and nourishing. Within each class there are elements of breath awareness, mindfulness, balance, agility, strength and rest.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative Yoga is a powerful practice to deeply rest and restore the mind and body. Classical yoga postures are practiced completely supported  by blankets and bolsters. This practice is a positive antidote to high levels of stress and fatigue. Karla has taught restorative yoga for 17 years throughout Auckland, she co-faciliates restorative yoga retreats and teacher trainings. She is one of New Zealands most experienced teachers of this very nourishing approach to yoga practice.

Thursday evenings 7.30-8.45pm at the Contemporary Yoga Centre, Remuera, 4-10 week courses throughout the year.

 Youth Yoga

Karla and friends are happy to announce a comprehensive youth yoga program at our centre. Weekly classes will run Tuesday-Friday throughout the term including a new teenage guys class. See the Centre web site for more information.

Courses

Courses are a wonderful way optimise the effects of yoga practice in a supportive environment.  Course content progresses week to week and themes are developed over the duration of course so that deeper experiential understanding of yoga practice is felt. Courses are highly recommended for beginners.
