1. “The art of form and transition”

Vincent Bolletta, Karla Brodie and Jac Wilson

9-10 July
1-5.30pm
$280
Venue: Halswell Community Centre

This workshop enlivens our experiential understanding of the spine, its mobility, stability and our ability to sequence movement through freely and effectively. We will explore key postures from both the lens of breath integration and structural organisation supporting self renewal in yoga practice and life. Guiding our practice will be a conversation between ‘style of yoga’ and relevant, everyday, functional movement patterns.

An emphasis over all the intensives will be on enhancing observational skills, how we see and perceive ourselves and others is an essential skill to enhancing our own movement quality, as a teacher this enables us to support our students toward deeper experiential understanding of sound yoga practice.

2. “The architecture of [our] breath and bones”

Vincent Bolletta and Karla Brodie

1-2 October
1-5.30pm
$280
Venue: Halswell Community Centre

Contemporary yoga practice is like architecture, an expression of life. An authentic yoga practice encompasses art and science, and is animated by interest. Both in classes and personal practice a teacher and student can develop the ability to respond to the moment, breath by breath, so that all movement expression is informed by attention and intention. This intensive will be specifically geared towards understanding how the breath is used to support structural and movement processes as well as physiological and psychological effects. We will cover common breath and structural conditions that are presented within yoga classes.
